Hope of Glory started with a church planting in March, 2013 in the city of Brea, CA ;  taking the God's Word of  'Colossians 1:26-29'  to their hearts as their mission of church, and named the church  'Hope of Glory' as it is mentioned in that passage.

By God's grace in Jesus, this community of faith was born and exist till this day.

COLOSSIANS 1:26-29

26 the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints.

27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you

THE HOPE OF GLORY

28 Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom,

that we may present everyone mature in Christ.

29 For this I toil, struggling with all his energy

that he powerfully works within me.

WE ARE ALL ABOUT JESUS CHRIST

YES, we are all about proclaiming CHRIST  that we may know, love, worship, and treasure Jesus to the maturity. (Col. 1:28)

Many people see Jesus as a great teacher or a great prophet. Yes He is.

BUT He is more than that.  Jesus is the only Son of God who is eternal with the Father. The Bible says through Him all things were created and He is upholding the universe by the word of His power. (Heb 1:1-3)

This Son of God came into this world through taking the human nature upon Him, to be like us in every way - yet without sin.

He lived on earth in perfect righteousness and perfect obedience to the Father. - the life we suppose to live before God He did instead of us as our representative and thus imputed His righteousness to His people so that we can be counted as righteous before God through His righteousness in the union with Christ through faith.

Jesus also died on the cross as an sin atoning sacrifice according to the Scripture for the forgiveness of sins of those who believe in Him.

And Christ rose again from the dead to be our eternal life and our justification. And through pouring out the Holy Spirit upon the believers, He has united us to Himself.

Yes, we worship this Jesus.

"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)

Jesus calls us to repent our sins, and to trust in His saving grace, and now to live our lives in obedience to Him.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

GOD

One true and living God who is the Creator of all things. He is a personal God who acts and speaks. He is eternal, infinite, independent, immutable, simple in His essence, and absolute being.  He eternally exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit - each equally deserving worship and obedience.

We believe in the inspired, inerrant, and infallible authority of the Bible as the written Word of God in the original document. We believe that the Bible is God's revelation, written by human writers and it is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to all spheres of our every day lives.

The sinfulness of all men and women and their resulting inability to seek out or please God by their own efforts. We believe in the guilt and corruption of man in every aspect of a man and it has separated us from the holy God and we are liable for His righteous and just judgment.

BIBLE

MANKIND

HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit who is the third person of the divine Trinity.

He is continuously present with the church. He is drawing elected people to Christ, sovereignly and supernaturally enabling them to respond with repentance and faith through the instrumentality of the Word of God, and strengthening them to live godly lives.

The Holy Spirit unites believers to Christ and into the body of Christ

- the church.

All the redeemed are kept and secured through the Holy Spirit till the last day.

RESURRECTION

We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and unsaved on the last day. The saved unto the resurrection of eternal life with the Lord, and the unsaved unto the resurrection of damnation to eternal death in hell.

SALVATION

Salvation is wholly of God by grace through faith, solely on the basis of the redeeming work of Jesus and not on the basis of human merit or works.

DISCIPLESHIP

We believe in a necessity for Christians to follow Jesus Christ in personal and often costly discipleship.

We believe that we must repent of our sins throughout our lives, believing in God’s forgiveness because of the covenant in Jesus, as we strive to submit to His will in all spheres of our lives.

CHURCH

The church as a community of born again persons, the body of Christ. The purpose of church is to worship and to glorify God and to build up its members in faith and in the knowledge of God through administration of the means of grace (instruction of the Word, prayer, sacraments) which leads to life in obedience. The mission of church is to reach out to the world in love and truth; to uphold God’s truth, to show mercy of God, and to preach the Gospel.

SPIRITUAL GIFT

We believe in spiritual gifts of all believers according to the Scripture through the Holy Spirit, that He instructs, sanctifies, empowers us to service for the benefit and building up of the body of Christ.

PRAYER

We believe in the privilege and power of prayer

in the name of Jesus Christ

that God truly answers our prayers, out of His grace

and love in Jesus Christ.

JESUS

Jesus Christ is the eternal and unique Son of God, who is fully divine.

Jesus is the Lord over all things as creator and ruler of all things (John 1:3, Col 1:16).

He took upon Himself the human nature with all the essential properties and common infirmities of human being, yet without sin.

He is the God provided Savior, the only one.

Even though God’s justice demands death and punishment for sin, in His love God has provided a Savior for those who repent and trust in Him.

Jesus lived a sinless life in a perfect obedience to the Father as our representative,  to impute His righteousness into believers.

He died on the cross,

and rose again from the dead,

and ascended to heaven.

Through Christ’s death and resurrection, Christ satisfied the justice of God and His wrath against us by paying the penalties of our sins and imputing His own righteousness into believers and thus fulfilled God’s demand of holiness.

We believe in His personal return in power and glory to judge the world. We believe that there is no salvation for anyone apart from faith in Jesus Christ.
